PFOS levels decline in eagles along Mississippi River

Researchers have discovered that PFOS levels in bald eagles along the Mississippi River may be on the wane. PFOS and other related chemical compounds are believed to be bio-accumulative, meaning higher concentrations can be found in species at the top of the food chain — like bald eagles.
