Whose view? From where? — June 2014

Last months view was taken at Lions Levee Park in St. Paul Park—a location that on most summer days would offer a shady spot for a picnic and a great place to launch a boat and explore the rivers backwaters. This year, however, flooding inundated the park making it difficult to access the park as well as identify it in the photo. One respondent thought it the picture was from Hidden Falls in St. Paul, but we received three correct responses, submitted by Paul Schoenecker, Tom Bell and Eric Otterness.

For more information about Lions Levee Park, including directions, visit the citys website.

About Whose view? From where?

Each month in this section, we feature a photo somewhere along the river corridor in the Twin Cities that is in some way significant or important or just plain scenic. Individuals may then e-mail us and identify the view and explain why they believe it is significant to the community or important to them personally. Well publish some of your responses in the next issue of Mississippi Messages, where we will also reveal the correct answer.

To submit your guess and response, e-mail Irene Jones, River Corridor Program Director, through our contact form.
