South Creek, Lakeville

Dedicated volunteers from FMR and Lakeville Friends of the Environment annually remove dozens of bags of trash from South Creek, which flows into the Vermillion and Mississippi rivers. Volunteers can stick to paved or grassy areas, like dedicated volunteer Professor Stinnet and his students (middle and lower), bring their boots and venture stream-side.

WEATHER UPDATE: The cleanup has been canceled, but the Earth Day lunch and celebration will go on as planned!

While the cleanup at Lakeville has been canceled, the Earth Day Celebration and appreciation lunch will take place Saturday, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come even if you have not signed up for the pickup portion of the event. The Earth Day Celebration events are inside and free to attend.
