Restoration Project Manager

Bio

Logan (he/him) is a graduate of Luther College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science. He is currently pursuing a Master of Natural Resources degree in Restoration Ecology and Habitat Management from the University of Idaho. Logan became fascinated with restoring native ecosystems while researching grasslands and oak savannas in the Driftless Region of Northeast Iowa. He gained experience in restoration project management and implementation as a Restoration Technician at the Anoka Soil and Water Conservation District. He is passionate about protecting and enhancing native habitat along the Mississippi River while building community and connecting people to the land. 

FMR role

Logan manages the implementation of habitat restoration projects along the river in collaboration with landowners and partner organizations. Logan develops task tables, leads bidding and contracting, manages contractors in the field, and monitors and assesses the success and effects of our restorations. Logan is passionate about teaching people about native plants and habitat, and enjoys working alongside volunteers to improve the natural areas for habitat and water quality.

Personal details

Outside of work, Logan enjoys gardening with native plants, cooking vegetarian food, and directing Ring Out, a Twin Cities handbell ensemble for LGBTQIA+ people and allies.
