More 3M chemicals found in Mississippi River — New fish advisories issued

Additional testing has discovered high concentrations of perfluorochemicals, or PFCs, in the Mississippi River and in landfills near the river. These findings come shortly after the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) report released in January that found one of the chemicals in drinking water supplies in Saint Paul Park, Newport, Woodbury, South Saint Paul, Cottage Grove and Hastings. As a result of these findings, the MDH has issued new Health Advisories for fish consumption for parts of the Mississippi River.
