Forrest Flint
Formerly Vice President of the Dental Plan for Health Partners of Minneapolis and Vice President of Strategy & Innovation for Delta Dental of Minnesota, Forrest Flint is now retired and resides in Edina. His extensive management background includes service as the director of Children, Youth and Family Services for the State of South Dakota and Vice President of Business Development for American Dental Partners, Inc. He has a bachelor's degree and a master's of public administration from the University of South Dakota. He is also a board member of the Voyageurs National Park Association and the National Association of Dental Plans.

Quote / philosophy: The Mississippi starts in our state and it is one of the country's greatest natural resources. We here in Minnesota have a responsibility to preserve and protect it so that it leaves the state in as pristine a condition as it starts.
Hobbies: Downhill and cross-country skiing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, fly fishing, pheasant hunting (particularly on his South Dakota homestead), running, swimming and boating

Favorite Mississippi River location: At Fort Snelling there's a bench from which you can view the river upstream to the gorge and downstream to its junction with the Minnesota River.
Favorite animal: Pheasant
Last memorable vacation: To Italy with daughters to visit Rome and Florence.
Favorite band: The Beach Boys, particularly after their appearance in summer 2006 to dedicate a Vietnam veterans memorial in South Dakota.
