Sensible Stillwater Bridge Partnership calls for FMR members' support

Mid-July, a group of Stillwater residents and environmental and transportation groups offered an alternative to the proposed mega-bridge over the St. Croix River at Stillwater supported by Congresswoman Bachmann, Governor Dayton, Senator Klobuchar, the Mayor of Stillwater and other local officials.

The Sensible Stillwater Bridge alternative is less than half the cost of the nearly $700 million mega-bridge, addresses Stillwaters downtown traffic congestion and much less impacts the protected St. Croix National Scenic Riverway.
