Water Knowledge Network Coordinator (Climate Impact Corps member)
Bio
Kassidy (they/them) is a current student at Metropolitan State University studying environmental science and a second-year Climate Impact Corps member. Prior to studying environmental science, Kass was a family social science major at the University of Minnesota with the goal of pursuing a master's in social work. Through their work on environmental justice initiatives and community forestry stewardship in their first term as a Climate Impact Corps member, they found a passion for the intersection between social justice and the environment. They are excited to be serving FMR for their second Climate Impact Corps term.
FMR role
Kassidy will work with the Stewardship & Education team's youth education program, bringing FMR's classroom lessons to K-12 groups in the Twin Cities metro area and supporting our curriculum development.
Personal details
Outside of work, Kass enjoys hiking, admiring bugs and frogs, volunteering, playing video games or board games, standing outside barefoot during rainstorms, trying new foods and drinking too much coffee. Their favorite Minnesota biome is prairie grasslands.
