Bio

Meghan (she/her) recently finished her master’s degree in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy at the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs. There, she focused on the interaction between water, agriculture and climate change. During her time at the Humphrey School, Meghan researched state policies related to the impact of agriculture on water quality with Dr. Bonnie Keeler and sustainable aviation fuel policy with the Minnesota Department of Commerce. She also worked with the Minnesota Farmers Union and the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy.

Prior to graduate school, Meghan received her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and spent ten years working in the medical device industry.

FMR role

Meghan works in the Water program to manage FMR’s efforts to advocate for biofuel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) solutions that align with our organization’s goals of improving water quality, biodiversity and farm prosperity while reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the agricultural and transportation sectors. As the Biofuels Policy Manager, she will work closely with government agencies, policymakers, researchers and industry to influence the future of low-carbon transportation and sustainable aviation fuel policies at the state and federal level.

Personal details

Outside of work, Meghan enjoys hiking, reading, yoga, crochet, paddleboarding the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes and caring for too many houseplants. She moved back to Minnesota for graduate school after more than a decade away and is looking forward to reacquainting herself with the Twin Cities!
