Accounting Manager

Bio

Shelley (she/her) has lived within a few miles of the Mississippi River for most of her life and has spent countless hours exploring its beauty. She is grateful to be able to use her accounting skills to support the vital work of FMR and caring for the river.

Shelley brings more than ten years of nonprofit accounting experience to FMR, with a strong background in financial operations and working closely with leadership teams to manage multimillion-dollar budgets. Before joining FMR, she served as Finance Manager at both Crescent Cove and Rethos: Places Reimagined, where she supported organizational growth through grant management, financial reporting, audits and the creation of sustainable accounting systems. She values using her nonprofit finance experience to advance mission-driven organizations. 

FMR role

<<Shelley performs all the essential accounting functions for FMR. She maintains the general ledger, prepares internal and external financial reports, works with external auditors, assists with grant management, and administers payroll and human resource tasks.>>

Personal details

Outside of work, Shelley lives in South Minneapolis with her family and enjoys drawing, painting, playing tennis and making music with her friends.
