Associate Director - Development Director

Professional Bio

Sara has been working in the nonprofit community for the entirety of her career. Prior to her time at FMR, Sara served as the Associate Director of Gathering Waters: Wisconsin's Alliance for Land Trusts where she applied her experience in strategic planning, board development, fundraising, program development, and communications and helped to grow the organization into a national leader in support of nonprofit conservation organizations. She serves on the board of Vivienne's Joy Foundation, and has previously served on the boards of Community Shares of Wisconsin and the Greater Madison Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Sara holds a B.S. in zoology and biological aspects of conservation and an M.S. in conservation biology and sustainable development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

FMR Role

Sara wears two hats at FMR and serves on the senior management team. As the Associate Director, Sara manages a range of internal organizational operations. As the Development Director, Sara leads the development team to establish fundraising goals and achieve fundraising successes. 

Personal Details

When Sara isn't at work she enjoys exploring the Twin Cities and going on adventures with her husband and two young daughters.
