One Day, One Earth, One Minnesota: Earth Day Collaborative fundraiser

April 1 through April 22, 2026
Online

This Earth Day, 11 local nonprofits — including Friends of the Mississippi River — are coming together for a shared fundraiser: One Day. One Earth. One Minnesota.

Instead of competing for support, we’re collaborating. Together as the Earth Day Collaborative, we’re raising $100,000 to strengthen community-based environmental work across our state — from restoring prairies and protecting rivers to advancing environmental justice, supporting youth leadership and building climate resilience in our neighborhoods.

Minnesota has always been a place where people show up for one another. We care about clean water, healthy soil, thriving communities and outdoor spaces where everyone belongs. This campaign is rooted in that shared commitment.

How to support the Earth Day Collaborative

Our goal is to raise $100,000 by April 22 (Earth Day) to support our collaborative's efforts in protecting Minnesota's environment.

Thanks to generous support from the Mortenson Family Foundation and Hispanic Access Foundation, all gifts will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $38,700!
