Protect our environment - remove rollbacks in SF 2314 [CLOSED]

The Minnesota Senate is preparing to vote on their proposed Omnibus Environment and Natural Resources Policy & Finance Bill.

The bill makes devastating cuts to Minnesota's three front-line environmental agencies, slashing general fund support for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency by 86%, the Department of Natural Resources by 17% and the Board of Water and Soil Resources by 39%. While agencies will still receive other (non-general fund) sources of funding, we strongly oppose these substantial cuts to core environmental programming in our state’s base budget.

SF 2314 also includes important environmental policy rollbacks and calls for yet another raid of the state’s Environmental Trust Fund.
