New Water Power Park on Hennepin Island

The new 1.4-acre Water Power Park on Hennepin Island in Minneapolis is a bigger deal than its size might suggest.

Xcel Energy dedicated and opened the park on June 12. The park features an up-close and personal overlook of Saint Anthony Falls and signage interpreting the history of hydro-power in that location. The Star-Tribune gave a warm review to the park and its special view of the river and surrounding city.
