New York Times' Toxic Waters Series

by Trevor Russell

Throughout this past summer and fall, New York Times reporter Charles Duhigg penned a series of articles exploring increasing levels of water pollution in Americas water ways, and how regulators are (or arent) responding to protect these natural resources.

Topics in the series include water pollution from power plants, agricultural runoff, industrial waste and herbicides. Each article is accompanied by graphs and links to additional research for more information. In addition, the NYT website has several short and compelling videos highlighting the impacts that water pollutants are having on Americas families and communities.

The site also includes a section with links and additional resources anyone seeking to learn more about water quality, pollution or how to evaluate or treat their drinking water.
