Welcome FMR autumn interns!

This fall, FMR is proud to welcome three new interns: Joseph Dietel, Rebekah Holmes and Anna Peschel.

Joseph Dietel is a long-time Saint Paul resident and lives near the Mississippi River. Joseph, the head of the Green Team at the University of Saint Thomas, is joining us as part of the esteemed HECUA (Higher Education Consortium on Urban Affairs) program. Joseph will be putting his organizing skills to good use, assisting with fall restoration events as well as gathering volunteer feedback.

Rebekah Holmes of Owatonna joins us from the Off-Campus Work Study program at Macalester College. Rebekah is an Environmental Studies major and spent her summer working at the Eloise Butler Wildflower garden in Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis. We are fortunate to have her working with us on the Mississippi River Challenge and other events for the entire academic year.

Anna Peschel comes from Macalester as well, and is also an Environmental Studies major. Truth be told, though, Anna is already a familiar face in the FMR office. She volunteered dozens of hours this summer clearing out invasive species from native plantings at Hastings River Flats Park.
