Citizen advisors needed: Vermillion River JPO planning commission vacancies

The Vermillion River Watershed Joint Powers Organization is seeking qualified applicants for expiring terms and mid-term vacancies on the Vermillion River Watershed Planning Commission (WPC).

This 9-member committee advises the Joint Powers Board regarding its duties under the Joint Powers Agreement, including the responsibility to guide implementation of the watershed management plan and annual work plan and budget, as well as to recommend action regarding disputes pursuant to the joint powers agreement. The WPC meets on the second Wednesday of each month from 4 to 6 p.m. in Apple Valley. To be considered for appointment, you must live in the Vermillion River Watershed.

Vermillion River Watershed citizens interested in serving on the Watershed Planning Commission should contact the County Water Resources Department at 952-891-7024 to obtain an application form. The application form and more information are available on the Vermillion River Joint Powers Organization web page.
