Don't "oops" the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment, November 4

A state constitutional amendment on the ballot November 4 would provide funding for the clean water programs associated with the Mississippi River and thousands of other river reaches and lakes. But if you don't vote either way on the amendment and do vote for candidates on the ballot, you'll be counted as a "no" vote.

The Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment would guarantee about $100 million in additional annual funding for water cleanup. Much of the money would be used to monitor, assess, and clean up Minnesota's impaired waters.

Under the Minnesota constitution, proposed amendments must receive a majority of votes from all those who cast ballots. Thus, a voter who indicates a preference for President, U.S. Senate or state offices but does not vote on the Amendment is in effect a "no" vote.

On November 4, dont let inaction decide for you – cast a vote on the Amendment.
