An evening with Andrew Reeves, author of 'Overrun: Dispatches from the Asian Carp Crisis'

Tuesday, April 9, 2019 - 6:00pm to Wednesday, April 10, 2019 - 5:45pm
Science Museum of Minnesota, St. Paul
Overrun - Dispatches from the Asian Carp Crisis by Andrew Reeves

Take on a behind-the-scenes look at the invasive carp crisis in North America — how did we get here, and where do we go now?

Author Andrew Reeves proposes a radical scientific and political shift to rethink how we can bring back our degraded and ignored rivers, and reconsider how we create equilibrium in a shrinking world.

FMR is proud to be an outreach partner for "Overrun," which features several Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center (MAISRC) researchers and their ongoing work into preventing the upstream spread of invasive carp in the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers.

Longtime Star Tribune environmental and science journalist Josephine Marcotty will moderate a Q&A session. And attendees will also briefly hear from MAISRC Director Nick Phelps and St. Croix River Association Executive Director Deb Ryan.

Ready to claim your seat?

Tickets to the program, which begins at 6 p.m., are free but capacity is limited and reservations required
