Give through your workplace

Many workplaces make it easy for employees to support nonprofits like Friends of the Mississippi River (FMR) through methods such as payroll deductions or one-time donations. These automatic contributions offer a simple and meaningful way to help protect and restore the Mississippi River.

To get started, check with your human resources office to see if your employer offers a workplace giving program. If they do, you may be able to designate Friends of the Mississippi River (Tax ID #41-1763226) as your chosen beneficiary. FMR proudly participates in various private sector programs and federal (CFC #23811), state, and local government campaigns. For example, FMR is a nonprofit partner of Creating Healthier Communities (CHC), Benevity, YourCause, FrontDoor, and others!

Workplace giving strengthens the connection between employees, companies, and the causes they care about. For FMR, it provides vital support for river conservation, education, and public access.

If you have questions about your options, reach out to your employer or contact John Briel, FMR Member Relations Manager, at jbriel@fmr.org.
