'Show Some Love for the River'
Looking for a cozy, family-friendly and free winter activity where you can advocate for the Mississippi River? Join FMR for coffee, treats, crafts and a chance to tell your legislators about your love for the river.
FMR is hosting our third annual Show Some Love for the River event at our office in St. Paul. You're welcome to join us anytime between 10 a.m. and noon to grab a warm drink, make a Valentine's Day card to send to decision-makers about key issues facing the Mississippi River this legislative session, and participate in fun Mississippi River-themed games (with prizes!).
If you're not into making crafts, feel free to stop by and chat with FMR staff, learn about our legislative priorities for 2025, and play some Mississippi River-themed games.
Bonus: Participants in the Plastic Free Challenge are also invited to pick up their reusable FMR River Guardians produce and snack bags at the FMR office anytime between 10 a.m. and noon.
Join any time, for one or all of our activities:
• 10 a.m. - Event begins + valentines making
• 10:30 a.m. - Overview of 2025 legislative priorities
• 10:45 a.m. - FMR + Mississippi River bingo (with prizes!)
• 11:15 a.m. - Valentine making + other activities
• noon - End of event
Register below to let us know you plan to join us for the Show Some Love for the River. (Feel free to also sign up for the Plastic Free Challenge if you'd like reusable produce and snack bags.) We look forward to seeing you!
