Join us for a fun, creative morning of learning and community. Light refreshments provided.

Discover how community power has shaped the Mississippi River’s past and how it can shape its future. FMR staff Colleen O’Connor Toberman and Jenna Hawkes will share stories of collective river restoration and explain how community organizing empowers people to influence meaningful environmental change.

Drawing on her leadership as an artist, organizer and volunteer, Shanai Matteson will connect the importance of climate justice, community storytelling, and fostering meaningful connections to strong and resilient communities.

Artist Kimberly Boustead will lead an art-making activity centered around the idea of what a healthy river looks like to you.

This event is free, but registration with Mississippi Watershed Management Organization is required.
