Upper Mississippi River Basin Protection Act introduced

Last month, Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar introduced the Upper Mississippi River Basin Protection Act (S 2779) which would promote Department of the Interior efforts to provide a scientific basis for the management of sediment and nutrient loss in the Upper Mississippi River Basin. The bill has been introduced in the House by Rep. Ron Kind of Wisconsin. Minnesota representatives Keith Ellison, Betty McCollum and Tim Walz are co-authors in the House.
