Welcome to our fall intern, Alyssa Neeb

FMR would like to extend a warm welcome to our new intern, Alyssa Neeb! Alyssa will be working with us for the fall semester as part of the HECUA (Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs) Environmental Sustainability program. Alyssa is a junior at the University of Minnesota, studying Environmental Design with a minor in Architecture and Sustainability. During this busy time of year, Alyssa will be assisting with coordination of and outreach for stewardship and interpretive events and attending many different kinds of FMR events. Once the leaves fall, the frost sets in, and the outdoor events taper off, her focus will turn to surveying volunteers about their experiences with FMR to help us evaluate and continue to improve our stewardship programming.
Alyssa brings a great deal of natural resources and volunteer experience to the position she has assisted with frog and toad population surveys, worked with a waterway access coordinator at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, been part of prairie restoration efforts, and taken several courses exploring the Mississippi River in the Twin Cities area. We are very excited to have her join our stewardship team!
