Welcome summer interns Christine Lee and Becky Schneider

Young faces, minds and spirits contribute greatly to protection of the places we all love, including the Mississippi River. We welcome two new interns who will learn as well as teach this summer.

Christine Lee, a senior studying environmental policy at the University of Minnesota, is from Madison, Wisconsin. Christine has already been busy at FMR helping pull off a successful Mississippi River Challenge Kickoff Party, helping with sponsor communications, and launching our outreach and press efforts for the Challenge. Christine will coordinate our interpretive attractions along the Challenge route and help us reduce the amount of waste we create during the event. Weve already benefited greatly from Christines many talents and bright, hardworking spirit. Thank you, Christine. We look forward to having you around for the rest of the summer!

Were also excited to welcome Macalester College student Becky Schneider to a summer internship. An environmental studies major, Becky already has a wealth of interesting experiences, including environmental education in Ecuador and work on a biofuels research project. Her many skills and talents will be put to good use developing project summaries, organizing FMRs image database, and participating in land conservation and restoration activities. Welcome, Becky!
