Your chance to comment on the future of Minneapolis parks

The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board (MPRB) recently released its draft Comprehensive Plan and is seeking public input. This will be the first time in 40 years that MPRB has taken a comprehensive approach to planning for the future of Minneapolis parks. The new document will establish overarching strategies and desired outcomes to guide future development, management and activities for the award-winning 6,400 acre park system. The plan will be available on-line for review and comment between July 16 and August 3.

MPRB is holding a series of open houses where citizens can learn about the draft Comprehensive Plan, ask questions and provide comments. A summary of citizen comments will be presented to park commissioners at their August 15 planning committee meeting and members of the public may also give oral and written testimony during that meeting.

You may also submit your comments online from the MPRBs comprehensive plan information page.
