Show some love for the river

Saturday, February 11, 2023 - 9:30am to 11:30am
Butter Bakery Cafe, Minneapolis
Three illustrated hands holding full mugs, with a small pattern of hearts around the outside. Text says "Show some love for the river and enjoy a warm drink with FMR."
Join us for an in-person advocacy event to tell your legislators to show some love for the river.

Looking for a warm, family-friendly and free winter activity where you can advocate for the river? Join FMR for coffee, crafts and a chance to tell your legislators about your love for the river.

FMR is hosting an advocacy open house at Butter Bakery Cafe in Minneapolis where folks can grab a drink and pastry, then create Valentine's Day cards to send to decision-makers on key issues that could impact the Mississippi River this session.

You're welcome to stop by any time from 9:30-11:30 a.m. to make crafts or just chat with FMR staff about our legislative priorities. If the space is getting full, all we ask is that you be mindful of how long you stay for capacity purposes.

We'll provide all materials for the cards and crafts, as well as any info you'll need. Masks are not required but are welcomed.

Butter Bakery Cafe is accessible via bus with a stop on the 18 line right on the corner. You can also bike. If driving, you can park on the neighboring streets.
