Welcome intern Arielle Courtney!

Arielle has come on board as the Mississippi River Challenge Marketing and Communications Intern for spring and summer 2010. Arielle comes to us from the Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management major at the University of Minnesota, where she focuses on Policy, Planning, Law and Society.

Arielle has an extensive background in environmental work and communications, having written for several environmental publications and serving as writer and editor for The Wake, a popular student-run magazine. She has also worked at Sunny Day Earth Solutions. While interning at FMR, she also holds a position as an undergraduate research assistant at the Institute on the Environment.

As part of her Mississippi River Challenge internship, Arielle will be communicating with sponsors, issuing press releases, organizing interpretive information and helping with event execution. Shes a great addition to our team, and we look forward to having her on board through the summer.

Thanks for being part of the effort, Arielle!
