We're expanding! Several positions now available.

Work with us!

As we head into a new year, FMR is excited to announce: We're expanding!

Thanks to our supporters and funders, we're now offering several positions to strengthen relationships and extend our reach.

Grassroots Organizing Coordinator

The Grassroots Organizing Coordinator will engage community members in advocacy efforts to protect, restore and enhance the Mississippi River and its watershed for everyone. The organizer will be a visible member of FMR’s advocacy team and a key community presence as we build grassroots power and equip residents as effective advocates for the river and environment.

Stewardship & Education Program Associate

The Stewardship & Education Program Associate will support FMR’s volunteer stewardship and restoration events and environmental education programs. In addition to managing day-to-day administrative tasks, they will be responsible for coordinating two key initiatives: the Storm Drain Stenciling Program and the Stream Health Evaluation Program.

Youth Coordinator

The Youth Coordinator will support FMR's environmental education and internship programs. In addition to managing day-to-day administrative tasks, they will be responsible for coordinating two key initiatives: K-12 Classroom Education programs and the Environmental Stewardship Institute (ESI).

(Note: This opening is not for a new position. Look for an announcement soon celebrating Youth Coordinator Ashley O'Neill Prado's time at FMR and their new role at another esteemed Twin Cities organization.)

Communications Associate

The Communications Associate will help develop and implement strategic communications campaigns to grow and strengthen our base of members, volunteers, advocates and partners/partnerships. They will be responsible for social media for all of FMR, and play a lead role in highly targeted long-term advocacy campaigns including media outreach, content marketing and network-building around “next-gen” agricultural practices and partnerships, amongst other local, state and sometimes national projects.
