FMR supports call to ramp up federal ag conservation assistance
FMR is proud to be part of a broad coalition of 133 conservation, farmer and rancher, wildlife, and other groups urging the leadership of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate agriculture committees to ensure the forthcoming infrastructure package includes robust funding for Farm Bill conservation programs and farmer assistance.
FMR recently signed on to a letter to Congressional committee members as part of a coalition led by the National Wildlife Federation, urging Congress to double the investment in Farm Bill conservation programs and ramp up conservation technical assistance funding.
The health of the Mississippi River is directly tied to the health of the lands in its watershed. In addition to supporting conservation funding, FMR advocates for clean-water crops in Minnesota and supports new partnerships to advance innovative farming practices that benefit both farmers and our waters.
