Thank you, River Guardians!

Despite an April snowstorm, hundreds of concerned Minnesotans showed up at the Capitol for Water Action Day 2019, River Guardians like Sarah Musgrave (left) included, here in a meeting with Senator Wiklund.

Thank you, River Guardians! We so appreciate you advocating for clean water and sustainable and equitable development along the river this past year.

In 2019, you raised your voices to advocate for the river on issues ranging from the Upper Harbor Terminal in North Minneapolis, to funding for the Forever Green initiative, to preventing environmental raids, cuts and rollbacks at the end of the legislative session.

As well as speaking up online, you also showed up in person. Over 400 people turned out for the third annual Water Action Day at the Minnesota Capitol, to meet with their legislators, participate in special trainings and rally for clean water.

We celebrated our victories and discussed the work to come at happy hours in May and November.
