Our internship program helps us support the next generation of environmental leaders on their career paths. This fall, Tori Duckworth worked with our Land Conservation team as the Ecological Data Analysis Intern.

Tori's wildlife monitoring data work
Tori brought her analytical thinking skills and positivity to three Land Conservation data projects this fall. She managed and analyzed data from our Wildlife Camera Monitoring Program, Pollinator Evaluation Program (PEP) and pollinator research projects.
Tori's analyses brought to light patterns in our monitoring data that will allow us to better understand and manage the wildlife that use our restoration sites. Tori also helped design and launch a new relational database, which will house FMR's research and monitoring data, allowing us to put our decades of monitoring data to new use in the future. We'll be sharing more about our findings in our enewsletter soon.
Tori impressed us with her effective problem-solving skills, her ability to learn new things quickly and her strong work ethic. She will be an asset to any team she joins in the future. Thank you, Tori!
Tori's reflections
"In my work at FMR I thoroughly enjoyed creating a database for the data FMR had collected. I also enjoyed working with volunteer data to gather meaningful findings that will help inform further action. This internship gave me the opportunity to expand my data science skills and experience working in a more formal setting towards change that I care about.
"I am finishing my final semester at college now and looking forward to graduating. I am in the process of job hunting for a job that hopefully has similar characteristics to my internship with FMR."
